The entire crux of my faith rests in the fact that Jesus is whom he said was, that is, that he was the son of God come in the flesh to be the payment for the sins of the world. Without the resurrection, Christianity would be just another dead religion.
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God who came to this earth, lived a perfect life, was crucified and laid in a tomb. He rose again on the 3 day and now sits on the right hand of God the Father. There is no other name above the name of Jesus by which man can be saved. What a glorious day that we celebrate at Easter and every day of our lives.
In the words of a Carmen song, “it may seem like Friday but Sunday is on the way! No matter how dark it may seem in my life at times, I always have the fact that Jesus conquered sin and death and not only lives, but He lives inside me and He will never leave me nor forsake me. Jesus is the Lord of my life!
Jesus was innocent – a lamb led to the slaughter. I cannot fathom the anguish He must have felt, not only in the physical pain, but in the torment of knowing that there would be people who would not believe that Jesus was dying for them – even those who were beating him. As the blood poured out of his flesh, he was saying, “this blood is for you.”And yet, there was more suffering to come – the cross – then death. but He didn’t stay dead…
So pure and true is His love for us, that while yet we were sinners, Jesus died for us. Praise the Lord! He is Risen! What blessed hope I (we) have in Jesus.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muK1DPKhKJ8
